drama team
The Drama Team is an easy and fun way to get involved. Our goal is to spread the message and word of God in an entertaining, story-driven visual format that people can watch, while still learn about God. The best part about the Drama Team is that there are so many opportunities to get involved. Even if you don't feel that you're a good actor, or you're scared of appearing on stage in front of people, there are numerous behind the scenes, production areas that can use your help. Below are just a few of the various parts of the Drama Team.
Actors- whether you have years of experience, or no experience at all, actors are always welcomed. Some people who didn't think that they could act at all have found they actually have a lot of talent. If you're willing to get up on stage, give it a try.
Sound and Light Technicians- these are the people who make sure that all the lights and sounds come on at the right time. In large scale productions, sounds and lighting are very important elements in making a production look more professional.
Set and Costume Design- these people are responsible for designing the costumes and sets that are used in various productions. The responsibilities can range from simply designing costumes and sets to actually creating the costumes and sets from scratch.
Stage Manager and Crew- the stage manager and stage crew are an integral part of the production. It is their responsibility to make sure that all the props are ready, that the setting is set in the correct place, and they are also responsible for helping to direct the actors and make sure they make their cues.
Besides these positions, there are a mulititude of different people and jobs that go into making a successful production. If you are interested in any of the above areas, interested in an unlisted area, or are simply interested in being a part of the Drama Team, contact Kyle Shelton.
