our dream
Oasis Christian Communities is relatively new to the Ohio State University, but it has long been in the heart of many of its leaders. We hope to give you a taste of some of the dreams God has put into our hearts.
It is our dream to establish Christian communities in every dorm, club, major, sports team, fraternity/sorority, and interest group on this campus where the love, acceptance, guidance and hope of Jesus Christ could reach every student.
It is our dream to see a large family of students who are learning to share their life together, love one another, and live for each other.
It is our dream that each student would know they are an important part of the body of Christ and be helped to discover and develop their ministry.
It is our dream to send out missionaries who will bring the gospel to other countries, and develop church leaders who will shape the spiritual landscape of our own country.
It is our dream to raise up a future generation who exalts only Christ, lives only for Christ, and loves Christ above all other things.

Oasis meets every Sunday during the school year for a worship meeting in Campbell Hall. Most Sundays last year drew 70-90 people, but we hope to grow!
Every Friday during the school year and intermittent Fridays during the summer, Oasis has TGIF activities on Friday evenings. In the past, these have included Ultimate Frisbee on the Oval, movies on the big screen at the Brother's House (199 E. 15th Ave.), apple picking, and talent shows, among many others.
At multiple times throughout the week, Oasis members meet for small group Bible studies. Some are on campus and some are in our homes; all include dinner or a snack and engaging discussion on various topics! But most importantly, these small groups are great places to form lasting friendships with your fellow Oasians.
Once a quarter, Oasis plans a retreat, usually to the Huntington House in Huntingdon, Ohio. These are great times to cement your friendships and to grow in Christ.
Oasis also plans trips during Spring Break and the summers. This year, we are planning on going to Guatemala on a mission trip!
